This one is hard to guess. You have a try hard coach that has little faith in his team, and they’re playing a gutted Houston team. The Texans are playing Tyrod instead of Deshaun. They lost McKinney in the offseason, they lost Watt in the offseason, and they seem to just be woefully ill prepared to play NFL football this week.
On the other side the Jaguars are also suffering from injuries in the running back room, they don’t have very good receiving (it isn’t bad, but they are about average). The Jaguars are trying to mesh a college and pro style offense to expand their playbook, and I don’t see that being particularly impressive in the NFL.
I think Lawrence looked average in the preseason, except when he played the Dallas 3rd string.
