Why the Jags Try Hard Game vs the Cowboys Shows They’ll be a Below .500 Team

The Jaguars played the Cowboys on their last preseason game, and while the Cowboys were busy trying to figure out who was going to make the 53-man-roster. The Boys did the sensible thing, they played 2nd and 3rd strings to figure out depth. Unfortunately, the Jaguars decided that, they would play their first string through the whole first half.

So naturally they beat the shit out of the Cowboys bench, but in doing so, they have proved that they’ll be a mediocre team all season. The Boys still marched on them, and the Boys still played okay despite being completely outmatched.

If your coach feels that he has to steal a win before the season even begins, that tells you how much faith he has in the team. I get it, when Urban was at Ohio State, his team would be so much stronger than their opponents. Everyone that ever plays Madden on rookie mode or arcade mode knows that sometimes you just want to dominate, and when you know that you’ll get crushed all season, might as well steal a quick one off the rip.
