The Jaguars for some reason traded Gardner Minshew for pennies this week, when they could have waited until an injury happened midseason and stole a third round selection from a desperate team that just wants to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Of all the teams that could use a backup or starter like the Giants and Washington, the Eagles took him. The Eagles incase we forgot, traded away their “franchise QB” in favor of Jalen.
Jalen had worse stats than any of the rookies, despite playing as much as any of them.
Yet, for the Eagles, this move doesn’t make a lick of damn sense. Why make a lateral play? Why would you offset the balance of the the team by adding a new QB to challenge for the starting role? Why turn up the heat on Jalen when you have Joey F already on the bench?
It’s a total Eagles move to waste a pick on a mediocre player.
I guess by week 7 when the Eagles have gone 1-6 they can have a few QBs to choose from.
