Broncos v Vikings Preseason Recap

As I predicted during the podcast yesterday, the Broncos would beat the tar out of the Vikings.

How could I possibly know that?

Because when you have two previous QB1s on your team competing for the QB1 slot, they’ll tear apart the 2nd and 3rd string guys they play in the preseason.

Sure enough Teddy went 7/8 for 74 yards with 1 TD and Lock went 5/7 for 151 for 2 TDs.

Teddy gives you the grind out short pass game with high accuracy, and Lock gives you big play ability with his strong arm.

The Broncos will be a surprisingly dangerous team for some, unless they bench a QB every other week and never catch a rhythm.

The announcers for the Vikings Sports Network might be high on Kellen Mond, but 6/16 is awful, he’s got 2 more games to shape up and step into form, but it seems safe to say, with Jake Browning throwing 5/10 for 31 and Mond at 53 yds, Cousins will be your starter this season.

The back up receivers of the Vikings looked scary bad. All these guys had 2 or less receptions the most receiving yards were a fat 18 yds. The best the announcers had was, “at least fans were allowed in.”

Preseason doesn’t mean jack, but I guess the twitter timeline will find something to get hype about.
