The Dallas’ rolled-up-jersey wearing “star” better start taking over games. All of Dak’s career has been living in the shadow of one Zeke Elliott. Constantly talking heads on any network discount Dak’s success as that of Zeke’s, well yeah when you’re in the lead you can rely on the running game to close it out.
The Dallas QB has exceeded any expectation for a 4th round selection, but the 4th overall pick couldn’t find pay-dirt if it slapped him.
We can’t say “WeLl DaK dOesN’t wiN wHeN hE pAsSes sO wElL” but ignore the fact that Zeke has gone missing since his rookie year. The expectation should be that the highly touted running back should take over games.
Last season he came in out of shape, and it showed. When Dak left, the box filled up and the running lanes weren’t there. But, let’s not collectively forget that he was missing since before the pay day, and the Cowboys better have an exit strat if he is still missing this season.
